Interpreting Practice in Asheville

This purpose of this page is let the Asheville Interpreting Practice Group know when and where we are practicing.

What:

Interpreting practices will be at Tony's house until further notice

When:

Tuesdays, arrive at 6:30 pm, start practice at 7:00 pm.

Where:

16 Breezeway Drive, Asheville NC
This about a 10-15 min drive from downtown.

What to bring

Something nice to snack on. Fruit salad, crackers, cheese, pastries, tea, coffe, etc.

Reference materials, interpreting dialogues, etc...

From downtown Asheville to our house is 20 minute drive:

Take Hendersonville Road (25) south

About 6 miles south of Biltmore Estate turn left at Mills Gap Road (traffic light).

There is a Kentucky Fried Chicken on the left at the traffic light and an Ingles across the street.

Go across the railroad track and turn right at the next light onto Sweeten Creek (25A)

Go to the next traffic light and turn left at Rathfarnham

Here are directions from I 40.

Take Exit # 51.

Take left onto Sweeten Creek (25A). (Do NOT go right toward Asheville.)

You will drive south about 4 plus miles.

You will pass Mills Gap Rd (traffic light) in about 4 miles.

There are service stations on both sides of intersection (Market Place on the right and Exxon on the left).

*Turn left at Rathfarnham Rd at the next traffic light after Mills Gap.

You are now in our neighborhood.

Turn left onto Tuckaway

Turn left onto Breezeway Drive.

Stay on Breezeway. When in doubt, always continue up the mountain.

You will pass a "Dead End" sign.

Our house is the next house on the left with stone columns on each side of the driveway with a #16 on the mailbox in the column.
